Wow. Last blog was in September. I'm such a slacker! I'd been planning to re-start the blog months ago but then we got some news....
I'm pregnant with our third child...totally unexpected! It threw me off course by a long way and it's only in the last couple of weeks that life seems to be getting back to normality. Well, as much as it can do before our baby arrives.
I have to admit that I had gotten used to the fact we were only going to have 2 children, and with one girl and one boy what more could I ask for? I was sick for about 3 weeks before doing a pregnancy test, just in case, and was relieved when it was negative. A few more days of sickness and I thought it was time to see a doctor, so you can imagine my surprise when the nurse asked me to do another test and it was positive! Needless to say I ran out of the surgery in floods of tears.
I'm happy to admit that now I have gotten used to the idea and over the shock and fear of another baby, at 23 weeks plus 3 days I am getting rather excited about Bubs arrival.
The pregnancy hasn't been without it's problems and I believe that had a lot to do with the length of time it took me to accept what was happening. I was sick and tired for 14-15 weeks and it was hard work looking after Molly & Charlie and just trying to get through every day.
We are also going through the worry of fortnightly blood tests and growth scans because of the anti-e antibodies I have but hopefully nothing will happen and Bubs will be okay, just like Charlie was. The scan at 21wks +5 was 'perfect' in the words of the consultant, which was very reassuring to hear. Let's just hope that's what he says every fortnight!!
There isn't really much else to report at the moment as the pregnancy had taken over life somewhat but I'm aiming to keep up with the blog as the pregnancy progresses.
